Jackson Police Investigate Early Morning Shooting

Jackson Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning. Police were dispatched to to the 900 block of South Milwaukee Street just before 1:00 a.m. after reports of several gunshots were heard in the area. Shortly after, officers received a second call notifying them that the 17-year-old victim, Devion Jackson, had arrived at the emergency room of Allegiance Health. Jackson is currently listed in critical condition and is on life support. Officers say he was a passenger inside a vehicle at the time of the shooting. Police have not made any arrests and do not have any suspects at this time.

    Just MHO, sounds like a retaliation from the Easter Sunday shooting. It's basically a block away from where it happened. Sad that as soon as it gets nice out, people start shooting b/c they can't get along.
