Jackson National Life announces plans to double the size of its headquarters and add 1,000 jobs in a major expansion project. The insurance company plans to invest $100 million in the expansion at its headquarters in Alaiedon Township, just south of Okemos, according to a spokesperson for Jackson National. The project would take 3 years to complete.
The expansion includes a 260,000 square foot building for offices as well as an 80,000 square foot data center.
All 1,000 jobs would not come at once, but hiring would be steady, 100-200 new jobs per year.
The new construction requires several government approvals before it could move forward.
