IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) -- No. 18 Iowa knocked fifth-ranked Michigan State from the ranks of the unbeaten in decisive fashion, stomping the Spartans 37-6 yesterday. Kirk Cousins threw three interceptions for the Spartans (8-1, 4-1), who were trying to move to 9-0 for the first time since winning a share of the national title in 1966.
Despite the loss, Michigan State is still in the running for the Big Ten title. They face Minnesota at home next week.
