Hit & Run Accident Victim in Critical Condition

JACKSON - A man is struck by a car in Jackson overnight after leaving a bar. He is in critical condition. The driver of the car sped off, and police are looking for that driver. The accident happened shortly after midnight in the area of Blackstone and North Street. A friend of the victim, who was walking with him, tells police they had left Wool E Bullys bar, when his friend was struck from behind. The victim, a 39-year-old Jackson man, was taken to University of Michigan Hospital and is in critical, but stable, condition. Police were able to locate the suspected car involved, but have not located the driver. Anyone else who may have witnessed the incident, or has knowledge of it, is asked to call the Jackson Police 517-788-4100.
This is the second serious hit and run accident in Jackson County this week. On Monday a man was struck while walking in Summit Township. That victim is in serious condition. A 21-year-old man involved in that accident has been located by police and may face charges.
