DETROIT (AP) -- A disgraced former high school hockey coach is scheduled for his last court appearance before returning to prison for child pornography crimes.
Robert Bopp is due in Wayne County Circuit Court on Thursday to get his sentence for first-degree criminal sexual conduct. He recently pleaded guilty after being charged with paying a drug-addicted teenager for sex.
Bopp's punishment will be served at the same time as his 22-year federal sentence for child porn. The federal investigation was related to the state charges.
The 54-year-old Bopp was hockey coach at Grosse Pointe South High School and led the Blue Devils to the 2007 state championship game. He was fired after his arrest in 2009.
