MASON - A teenager pleads guilty in a drunk driving accident that stunned the Holt community this past winter. On Wednesday 17-year-old Brett Johnson pleaded guilty to one count of operating under the influence of alcohol causing death. That carries a potential 15-year prison sentence. As part of the plea agreement, two other felony counts were dropped.
Johnson was behind the wheel in the early morning hours of January 30th, when the car he was driving crashed along Hagadorn Road in Meridian Township. Johnson and his passengers had left a party. Taylor Cochran, 18, and Holly Bossenberry, 17 were killed. 18-year-old Anthony Harris died days later. All those involved were from Holt.
Johnson is scheduled to be sentenced June 8th.
