TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (AP) -- A Grand Traverse County teenager has admitted to stabbing and beheading a cat.
Jonathan Cook pleaded guilty Friday to a felony count of killing or torturing an animal.
The 18-year-old from Blair Township faces up to four years behind bars. A sentencing date is pending.
Cook told Circuit Judge Philip Rodgers the cat bit him, so he stabbed it and went back "a couple days later and cut its head off."
The teen says he stuffed the cat's head in a plastic bag tied to his belt buckle and showed it off to his friends.
