If you plan to get Fourth of July celebrations started early, you'll want to know the rules about fireworks if you live in Grand Ledge.
The city ordinance has been updated, and the new version is already in effect. People are now only allowed to legally shoot off fireworks the day before, the day of, and the day after a holiday.
Fireworks on these days cannot be used between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m.
You can find more information on the Grand Ledge Police Department's Facebook page.
