A Grand Ledge family's goal to use grief as a means of change is being met, today.
In honor of their 21-month-old daughter Ariana, who passed away in her sleep almost three years ago, the Lusis family is dedicating a new playground at Grand Ledge's Fitzgerald Park at 12:15 p.m.
The cause of Ariana's death was eventually determined to be Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood, a relation to SIDS.
Money raised from an annual event in Ariana's honor was used to build the playground. Watch News 10 at 5 for details from the dedication.
