The Mid-Michigan Red Cross responded to an apartment complex fire at Old Mill Pond Road in Grand Ledge early this morning.

The entire building, 18 units, were on fire and officials believe it's a total loss. Thirteen families, a total of 35 people were affected. The Red Cross dispensed bottled water to the residents as they waited for the manager of the complex to arrive. Management put the families up for the night in a hotel and Red Cross representatives will be meeting with the affected residents today to help them with other immediate needs.
