Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee says they have launched an all-out search of an area to find a 2-year-old girl last seen in a vehicle that was carjacked in the city.
Godbee told reporters Friday afternoon that police are working with FBI agents to find Bianca Jones. Her father reported being carjacked at gunpoint about 9:45 a.m. in the New Center area. The vehicle was recovered nearby with child seat inside but it's not known where the girl is.
Godbee says police are speaking with the girl's parents and they are "very distraught." She was last seen in a purple coat, pink tights and pink shoes.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned African-American man who is not clean-shaven.
Police say anyone with information should call 313-596-2555.
