DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) -- AAA Michigan says gasoline prices are up 15 cents per gallon over the past week to a statewide average of $3.75.
The auto club says Monday the statewide average is about 91 cents per gallon higher than last year at this time.
Of the cities it surveys, AAA Michigan says the cheapest price for self-serve regular fuel is in the Benton Harbor area, where it's $3.71 a gallon. The highest average can be found in the Lansing area at $3.79.
Dearborn-based AAA Michigan surveys 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily.

Thank you RT! It's nice to know someone out there has a common sense brain and sees that the 'emperor has no clothes'! Those very liberals are the hypocritical disease that will do us all in if we' re not careful!

Hey Anonymous (posted April 4, 2011 at 1:29 PM) YOU'RE AN IDIOT!!! Are you as critical of obama (capitalization purposely omitted out of contempt) as you are of Bush for the gas prices?? I'll bet you aren't. Maybe you didn't notice but Bush isn't the president anymore. If the environmentalists and liberals would allow us to use domestic supplies of oil (drill in the gulf and in Anwar) we'd be paying about a buck a gallon...maybe less. So before you blame Republicans...look in the mirror if you support the REAL people to blame for the high energy prices!!!

One of the goals of high gas prices is to force people to move from the country into the cities. My in-laws told me months ago i was being to negative, that this would never happen. Have fun slaving for gas. lol

Wonders why the gas prices in St. Petersburg (FL) are still at $3.55 - $3.67 today (April 4)? While on vacation we paid anywhere from #3.47 - $3.55 last week. What is going on here in Michigan!!!!!!!!

U seen high prices when bush was in office & now that republicans are in control of the white house ,expect more higher gas prices. Many will become rich off this & basically the are all republicans.Want to vote some more into office. Many voted that way for the wrong reasons.well if U are poor, low income OR poverty.Don't vote republican.they are for the rich & the rich getting richer.Never figured that out either.bush & his family & ,many in oil must be sooooooo happy about per gal prices.Sad because we have so much reserved & so much yet not drilled.Hurt the people.& ruin a country.IS IT WORTH IT?????????

that is so wrong. What do they expect lower income people to do?This will not allow jobs to profit either,so they won't be hiring.People won't be buying very much, and many won't be able to do anything. No vacations and so on.Bad for an economy that needs improved.

its 3.899 i wonder how many of you are still flying down the highway 75-85 mph how many of you are checking your tires for the right inflation i do the speed limit all the time i check my tires every 2 weeks the best way to save gas is to do the limit at 75 your burning 15% more gas then 65 is it realy that important to save a few mins. and theres plenty of gas its the speculators on wall street that are driving up the price just like a few years ago use less by driving smarter not harder and the bubble will bust

Sunday morning I filled up my tank for $3.51 per gallon, 1 hour later it was $3.89 at the same gas station. That's a lot more than 15 cents.
