The credit and debit card fraud that's affected about 50 General Motors employees has impacted hourly workers as well as management, said GM Spokesperson Erin Davis.

Davis says the fraud has also impacted workers on varying shifts.

Those targeted appear to all work at the Lansing Delta plant, but Davis said there have been rumors that workers at other local GM plants have been targeted as well but could not confirm that.

We asked about the possibility of the fraud originating in the plant cafeteria. Davis said the investigation has been handed over to the Eaton County Sheriff's Department.

"We don't know at this point where it's coming from," she said.

She said GM investigator Ryan Kane is taking complaints and handing them over to the sheriff's department. His e-mail is ryan.kane@gm.com.
