A parts shortage has force General Motors to idle both its assembly plants in the Lansing area.
Lansing Delta Township Assembly canceled its first and second shifts Wednesday. Operations are scheduled to resume for the third shift. That shift will start at 9:30 p.m., one hour earlier than usual.
Lansing Grand River Assembly won't resume production until Thursday. The company is tell its workers to report for their normal starting time.
