KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) -- Funeral arrangements have been finalized for Bishop Paul V. Donovan, the founding bishop of the Diocese of Kalamazoo.
Visitation was scheduled for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at St. Augustine Cathedral in Kalamazoo. A funeral Mass was scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Donovan was 86. His death was announced Thursday by the Diocese of Kalamazoo. Police said his body was found that morning about 150 feet from his vehicle near Gun Lake Casino Allegan County's Wayland Township, about 30 miles north of Kalamazoo.
Police say he last was seen late Wednesday at the casino. Foul play wasn't suspected.
Donovan led the diocese in southwestern Michigan from 1971 until 1994, when he resigned for health reasons.
