Fundraiser for Girl Mauled by Pit Bulls

The six-year-old Jackson girl viciously mauled by pit bulls in Jackson is still recovering, and a fundraiser is planned for this Saturday to help Tyah Norris' family cover the cost of her medical bills.

Tyah had to have several surgeries and hundreds of stitches after she was attacked by three pit bulls.

Keys Hog House on North Jackson Street will hold a fundraiser Saturday at 5 p.m.

There will be live music, 50-50 drawings, and other raffles.

The cost is $5 at the door.

In early September, a Jackson County judge found there was enough evidence to send the owners of those pit bulls to trial.

Brian Nace and his girlfriend, Jasmine Bailey, are both charged with felonies related to the brutal attack. Nace was not home at the time when Tyah-- who was there visiting a friend-- was attacked.

@Lisa People who own Pit Bulls are all a bunch of Poor A55 scum bags. The kind of people who couldnt cough up 100 bucks to buy a real dog. People who own pitt bulls are people who need a dog in the house thatll keep other people away from their stash of Weed and Meth. Pitt Bull owners have no job, rent a house, have no assets whatsoever, and not even a bank acount. How do you sue someone like that? That goes for every pitt bull owner out there. Pitt bulls are Trash Dogs, and their owners are Trash people. Shoot em all, the dogs and their owners!

The dogs' owners should be coughing up a WHOLE LOTTA DOUGH right about now. What about charges? Are there any pending? This story is incomplete.

Not very thrilled about the evil pit bull picture... put a picture up of scum bag dog owners that are not qualified to own a dog that needs lots of love and training. Call it an attack caused by ignorant people... not an animal. No offense to the girl who was attacked- thoughts and prayers with her and her family... I just wish these attacks would blame the right parties and not innocent animals that were never trained properly. Let's educate ourselves, people!! Don't believe every thing you hear!!

Why aren't the owners of the dogs responsible for this little girls medical bills? I just don't get it. It's to bad this money isnt for a toy that might make her smile, helping with what the family might need,if someone needs to stay home with her and they are losing income. Don't get me wrong, I am not in any way saying that this fundraiser is a bad thing. It is just my opinion.
