Firefighters found an easy way to dispose of a possible methamphetamine lab: let it burn down.
At 7:48 p.m. Thursday, firefighters were called to the 2700 block of East South Street in Leoni Township.
When they arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from a vacant home.
By then, the first floor had already collapsed.
The home had been the site of several break-ins in the past, and investigators say a meth lab could have been involved in the fire.
Firefighters decided to let the building burn, and only stood by to make sure the flames didn't spread to any nearby structures.
Investigators say the fire looks suspicious.
Anyone with information on the fire should call the Blackman-Leoni Detective Bureau at (517) 788-4223.
