LANSING - The lead was flying in southwest Lansing Monday night. Lansing police tell News 10 that two sets of two people are complaining that the other pair took some shots at them. After interviewing each party, Lansing police say that the four people involved had decided to meet at by a convenience store in the 4800 block of South Waverly Road at 8 o'clock to discuss an issue involving stolen property. That discussion deteriorated into a fight and a report of shots being fired, but no one being hurt.
Then, at approximately 9:45PM, one of the parties, who lives nearby in the 2600 block of Greenbelt Drive had his apartment shot up. About an hour later, an apartment in the 3900 block of Burneway Drive off Waverly had shots fired into it. That apartment belonged to one of the men on the other side of this dispute. No one was injured in either shooting.
Police know the names of the people involved and are continuing their investigation. No charges have been filed yet.
