MORENCI, Mich. (AP) -- The father suspected in the disappearance of his three young sons in southern Michigan has an extradition hearing Tuesday in Toledo, Ohio.
Thirty-nine-year-old John Skelton of Morenci is jailed on $3 million bond in the Lucas County jail. He's charged with parental kidnapping in the disappearance of 9-year-old Andrew, 7-year-old Alexander and 5-year-old Tanner Skelton.
The boys were last seen on Thanksgiving. Volunteers have searched southern Michigan and northern Ohio.
The hearing follows Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm's request to Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland to return Skelton to Michigan.
Tanya Skelton reported her sons missing after their father didn't return them from a court-ordered visitation.
Police say John Skelton made up a story about giving the boys to a female acquaintance. His lawyer declined to comment to The Daily Telegram of Adrian.
