IONIA, Mich. (AP) -- A Michigan man who says he hasn't done "anything wrong" has been sentenced to life in prison without parole in the beating-death of his 3-month-old twin son last year.
An Ionia County jury on June 4 found Keith Thibeault of Portland guilty of first-degree murder and child abuse in the death of his son Everette. A judge in Ionia gave him the mandatory penalty Tuesday.
Thibeault testified that his son fell off a couch during a feeding in March 2012. Authorities say Everette was abused and his surviving twin brother Keegan had a broken leg.
Before the sentencing, Thibeault said he misses his dead son, surviving son and ex-wife and "will love them all" until he dies.
