One man is dead and another is in serious condition, following a motorcycle-car collision on Lansing's south side.

It happened Thursday, just after 6 p.m., at the intersection of Martin Luther King and Dunlap, near Popeye's Chicken.

Witnesses say the motorcycle rear-ended a car and then flipped into the air, bursting into flames when it landed.

Both victims were riding on the motorcycle.

Two people in the car were not hurt.
