On Thursday night, hundreds of fans crowded at the Capital Region International Airport all waiting to catch a glimpse of Jordyn Wieber.
When asked about the London Olympic Games, Jordyn says her most memorable moment was winning the team gold.
"The second when we were all holding hands waiting for the team score to come up that was just an amazing feeling. We were really happy at the time. We knew that we had that gold medal so it was truly an amazing feeling," said Wieber.
Back at home in Dewitt, neighbors and friends lined up outside of Jordyn's house despite the rain and even put on some fireworks. Now that the local champion is home, one of the biggest questions is perhaps will we see her again in Rio in 2016.
"It's hard to think about right now because we just finished the Olympics but it's definitely always in the back of my mind and it's a possibility. I'd love to stay in this sport as long as I can. "
Jordyn is not taking much of a break and says she'll be hitting the gym again after resting her injury a little more. In just two weeks, she'll be heading on the Kellog's Tour of Champions.
