Meridian Township firefighters are at the scene of a trailer fire on the 700 block of West Grand River Avenue near the intersection of Van Atta Road. They were called to Winslow's Mobile Home Park a little after 8:30 Monday evening. A WILX photographer heard a loud explosion that shook the entire block come from inside the trailer while it was burning. Neighbors tell wilx.com a older couple had lived there for around 30 years and the husband had a large collection of guns and ammunition. We don't know if anyone was hurt or how the fire started. A couple of rounds going off wouldn't shake the entire block. It was probably a propane tank or something of the like.
