Drug K2 Found In Products Labeled 'Bath Salts'

MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. -- An enormous haul of illegal street drugs near Detroit brings in some deceiving products.

Vials labeled bath salts that, in reality, contained a mix of cocaine and other illegal stimulants, nearly a quarter of a million dollars' worth of synthetic marijuana and other drugs -- known on the street as K2.

The packaging looked innocent, but Michigan State Police say the products can be deadly.

A man found with the drugs was arrested in Madison Heights.

Police say he was attempting to supply various stores throughout Metro-Detroit.

If convicted of this felony, the suspect can face up to seven years in prison.

If it weren't for the prohibition of marijuana, folks would not buy k2 incense alternatives. Why would they? If people had legal access to the real deal they would not be hunting down k2 herb and the like. Just as the government has wasted endless resources chasing down marijuana, now they are going to do the same with this incense stuff. It is ridiculous and wasteful in more ways than one. How long have these products been banned, and there are still places advertising legal everywhere products like those found at http://www.buyherbalincense.com .

More disinformation from the cops. I strongly believe that there was no cocaine in any of this. Why would there be? Cocaine is much more expensive than bath salts. These are legal products that they need to leave alone. I'm not a supporter of bath salts. I believe they should be illegal, but the disinformation coming out of high places from people who know nothing is stunning. I hope the guy sues the cops.
