The final nail has been driven into the coffin of a major drug gang that operated in Lansing.

A federal judge sentenced the last member of the Ahh Dee Ahh organization to 11 years in prison Monday.

Samuel Collins was on the run for three years before he was caught in Colorado last November.

The investigation started with the arrest of a crack dealer in Lansing in 2004.

Police and federal agents followed the money all the way up the line to a kingpin named Charles Jackson, Sr.

Jackson and Collins made $176 million shipping cocaine, heroin and marijuana from California to Lansing and Detroit.

More than 40 members of the Ahh Dee Ahh gang are serving prison time.
