DELHI TWP - A driver smashes into a bicyclist and then drives away with the bicycle still attached to the front end. The Ingham County Sheriff's Office Delhi Division reports that on Wednesday, at approximately 7:10pm, they were called to a report of a crash at Cedar Street and Fay Avenue involving a vehicle and person on a bicycle. The bicycle rider had suffered head and shoulder injuries that were non-life threatening. He was taken to Sparrow Hospital.
The accused driver is described by witnesses as a heavyset black female. The vehicle is described as a white minivan with front-end damage. The front hood or bumper is being held together by bungee straps and appeared to have existing front end damage. After striking the bicyclist, the accused driver backed into the gas station at Cedar Street and Fay Avenue with the bicycle still attached to the front of the van. The driver then drove away north on Cedar Street.
