Downtown Lansing has been decked out in pink as part of a week-long celebration in support of the Susan G. Komen Mid-Michigan Race for the Cure.

The annual "Lansing in the Pink" aims to raise money for the fight against breast cancer. As part of the event, local businesses will participate in a window decorating contest and offer "pink" specials all week long.

Downtown Lansing, Inc. Executive Director Mindy Biladeau says the city-wide promotion raises funds for a great cause. "It strengthens our sense of community and shows our entire community's hope that one day, there will be a cure."

Sunday's Race for the Cure starts at 2pm at the State Capitol. Registration starts at 11am. There's still time to register online. Just click on the link below.
