A double shooting in south Lansing sends two to the hospital. Lansing police tell us they responded to reports of gunshots around 2 p.m.

It happened near a parking lot on Pleasant Grove and Holmes Street.

The two men, one 19-years-old and the other in his late 20s, are both from Lansing. They have serious gun shot wounds but are expected to live.

Currently police say they have no witnesses. We will be following this story as it develops so stay tuned to WILX for updates.

Maybe if the patrol officer that lives down the street from me was actually on patrol instead of sitting in his house half of his shift maybe at least one of these shootings could of be prevented!

People are always infront of those business. I don't understanf why they don't keep an officer stationed at the intersection after the shooting that happend last summer in broad day light! smh

Are you serious? The cost of having one officer in one location 24 hours a day would be approximately $250k a year. Do you want to know what would happen IF they did do it? The scumbags would go a few blocks over and shoot each other over there instead. Policing is almost always a reactive business, not a proactive one.

WILX why don't you do a story about the fact that the mayor's guns for groceries has done nothing to stop the recent homicide and shootings in Lansing.
