The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is reminding people to lock up their car and bring their valuables inside after several cars were broken into last weekend.
Three cars were broken into on 23rd street Monday, as well as vehicles parked on 22nd Street, 20th Street and Carlton Boulevard. All the cars were left unlocked.
Undersheriff Chris Kuhl says several more were broken into the night before, with thieves taking electronics and change. Several cars were also stolen from that area, but have since been recovered.
Kuhl is urging owners to lock their vehicles and bring their valuables inside or keep them out of sight.
