We came in, we bought hay for some of these guys, loaned them money to buy hay, and get them through last winter. Fortunately this weather this year is much more cooperative, so hay prices are coming back down.

The weather this year is helping dairy farmers.
Last year's drought ran up the price of hay, which many farmers suffered losses, to keep from raising prices.
Some worked together to make sure the hay prices didn't put small farmers out of business.
Loomis was among many at Dairy Day at The Capitol, where farmers show off their products to lawmakers.
Dairy is a big part of Michigan’s agriculture sector, ranking eighth in total production in the country.
