If you have yet to experience what it's like to camp at one of Michigan's state parks, you're in luck.

To encourage more first-timers to try it, the DNR has something called "Camping 101".

For $20, you'll get two nights of camping, all the gear you need to do and the help of a park ranger to get you started.

The gear is provided by North Face and must be returned once your trip is over. Nearly 20 state parks and recreation areas participate in this program.
