Multiple agencies responded to a fire at a home in Okemos on Sunday.
The fire happened on the 3500-block of Sylvan Glen around 5:30 p.m., Meridian Township Fire Battalion Chief Bill Janson said. The fire reportedly started in the basement of the home.
There was pretty extensive heat and smoke damage to the house, so the family will be displaced Sunday night, said Battalion Chief Janson.
Meridian Township, East Lansing, Delhi and Williamston Fire Departments responded to the fire.
Multiple departments were needed because the area does not have fire hydrants, Battalion Chief Janson said.
No one was injured. The fire is under investigation.
