SPRINGDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Northern Michigan authorities say an 81-year-old woman and her 90-year-old husband were killed when the minivan the woman was driving was in a two-vehicle crash.
The Manistee County sheriff's department says the crash happened Thursday in Springdale Township. It's near Copemish and about 25 miles southwest of Traverse City.
The Ludington Daily News reports that the Leneah and George Cheylava lived in Thompsonville.
It says a pickup truck struck the couple's minivan at an intersection. Authorities say a 29-year-old man driving the truck escaped injury.
