Your next Consumers Energy bill will be a little lower.

The utility is issuing refunds to its natural gas customers.

Consumers has to refund more than $10 million because it hiked up rates from November 2009 through May of 2010 that were more than what was approved by the state public service commission.

Customers on average will see a refund of about $4.73 on their January bill.
