Computer problems have caused occasional long lines for Thanksgiving travelers trying to fly Spirit Airlines at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
Sixty-five-year-old Sharon Pisoni of Ann Arbor says she was concerned about security before her flight to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Wednesday. But because of the computer woes, she says "we haven't even gotten through security."
Spirit employees were checking in passengers by hand.
Forty-seven-year-old Gary Phillips says he had no problems flying to Detroit on a plane that left Tampa, Fla., around dawn.
He planned to follow a Thanksgiving tradition: a trip to Detroit's Eastern Market to buy a fresh turkey. His Thanksgiving plans included running the 10K Turkey Trot in downtown Detroit.
