UPDATE: Man Jumps From Burning House

A 23 year old male jumped from a second story window to escape a morning fire in Alaiedon Township. He is being treated for smoke inhalation. The house had four tenants, but three of them were away from the residence at the time of the fire. A dog belonging to a resident also died in the fire.

It happened around 8:00 a.m. at a house on property owned by Discount Tree Farm, on Willoughby Road. As of 10:40 a.m., firefighters from five agencies were wrapping up the fire.

They will not be able to look for the cause until the fire is out. Willoughby Road has been closed due to the fire. Delhi Fire Chief Rick Royston says the road should be reopened by noon.
