WYOMING, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities have identified the 4-year-old boy who was run over and killed during a school homecoming parade near Grand Rapids.

Jordan Lamrouex fell or was pulled under a parade float Friday, a trailer pulled by a tractor. The parade, held in Wyoming, occurred before a football game between Wyoming High School and Grand Rapids Creston High School.

Jimmie Beukema was watching the parade from his yard and says the tragedy changed the mood of the event. He says there was "a lot of crying and screaming."

As many as 1,000 people lined the route for the first parade since Wyoming Park and Wyoming Rogers merged into one high school. There was a moment of silence for the boy at the football game.
