More than 1,500 people gathered at Hartford Community Center to raise money for the family of Amy Henslee in the wake of her death.
The community came together to contribue what they could during a dinner, bake sale, and silent auction.
Henslee was found buried in a wooded area in Bangor Township with another woman, Tonya Howarth.
Howarth's boyfriend, Junior Lee Beebe, Jr., has been charged with murdering both women.
Organizers of the benefit say that funds raised will pay for the funeral, and any other costs.
A fund was also set up at a local bank.
