COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- A popular Michigan-based craft brewer plans to offer its beer in cans starting next year.
The Grand Rapids Press reports that Bell's Brewery Inc. is planning to install a line that can fill 500 cans per minute at its facility in Kalamazoo County's Comstock Township.
Company President Larry Bell says it is part of an ongoing expansion project. The company's main bottling line currently fills about 260 bottles per minute.
Bell says it hasn't been determine which brands will be available in cans. The move would put Bell's Brewery among a growing number of craft brewers offering their beer in cans.
