Jackson Police Search for Bank Robbery Suspects

The Jackson Police are investigating a Bank Robbery that occurred at the First Merit Bank, 1712 E. Michigan Ave, at approximately 11:10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013.

The thief entered the bank, passed a note to the clerk demanding money, then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was seen. The man fled the area northbound on foot, then jumped into a gray station wagon-type vehicle which was waiting a block away from the bank, driven by a second white male. The car left the area northbound.

The bank robber is described as a white male, middle aged, unshaven, approximately 5’5-5’9, thin build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, sunglasses, white shirt w/blue sleeves and “AERO” printed on the front, blue jeans, and white shoes.
