STOCKBRIDGE- Three people are in custody following a bank robbery and chase in the Stockbridge area Friday morning. One man and two women were arrested after the Farmers State Bank on the south side of Stockbridge was robbed by a man at gunpoint at about 11:40am.

The suspects were stopped north of town at the intersection of M-52 and Columbia Road in White Oak Township. A witness tells News 10 that police were chasing a red SUV north on M-52, when the SUV drove through a home's yard and was stopped. The witness says that a man carrying a backpack ran out of the SUV and dove into a nearby pond. A police officer located that man and held him at gunpoint at the pond. The homeowner was asked to fish-out the backpack from the pond.

A woman in the SUV was also detained by police. A second car driven by a woman was also stopped in the area by authorities.

Watch tonight for the latest.
