I live in St. Johns, and while I don't know this family, I want to express my condolences to Nick's family and friends. The death of a loved one is always difficult and I am sorry that the news is even mentioning alcohol. In my opinion, that shouldn't be brought up in the coverage of any accident unless test results come back positive. We all know that the testing is automatically done following an accident, so there's no need to sensationalize it.

I hope it was not alcohol. That would just reinforce the bias opinions that cycle riders are idiots.

Nick H. would never get on a bike if he was drinking. That is why the news is so twisted to make everybody look bad not everybody that likes to have fun has to drink to do it but hell thats michigan for you there has to be some way for michigan to get money out of it. Nick you will be missed by all your family and friends RIP

We would like everyone to know that alcohol was NOT a factor in Nicks accident. Anyone who knew Nick knows there was no way he would get on a bike/any vehicle after drinking!
