Arson Suspected in Jackson Fire

JACKSON - A fire that destroyed a home in Jackson Thursday night is ruled an arson. Jackson police say they have identified a suspect in the burning of a home on the 1300 block of Lansing Avenue. Police says the man is not in custody, but they do know where he is. Police and fire department investigators will complete their report and forward it to the prosecutor's office for review. The fire department says a mother and her two children lived there, but they were not at home at the time the fire struck at about 6 o'clock in the evening. Firefighters say the fire moved quickly through the 70-80 year old house. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
