JACKSON - A tip leads to a suspect being arrested, accused of robbing a bank in Jackson. Police say they used an anonymous tip received Thursday morning to identify a 46-year-old man believed to have robbed the First Merit Bank on East Michigan Avenue Wednesday morning. Detectives were able to arrest the suspect at his residence in Napoleon without incident.
Police say that the man entered the bank shortly after 11 o'clock, showed the teller a note and took off with some cash. No gun was seen. Police say the man who robbed the bank jumped into a station wagon-type vehicle waiting nearby driven by a man. Police are still seeking the car's driver.
