LANSING - For the second day in a row the Lansing police are investigating a shooting incident. Police were called to the 1300 block of Mary Avenue, on the city's southwest side at about 1:40 p.m. There a woman had been shot in her leg through a wall of the apartment.

Shortly afterwards police approached a car they suspected was occupied by people who may have been involved in the shooting. When they approached the car, three people ran. Two others remained in the car. Police pursued and captured the three who ran, and detained two people in the car. They are being questioned. Police are searching the area for weapons.

The wound to the woman is not life-threatening.

Four teenagers were shot Tuesday afternoon near Sexton High School, on the northwest side of the city. Police say this does not appear to be related.
