The Jackson mom accused in the death of her newborn daughter, loses custody of her other three children.
A judge terminated Amanda Redman’s parental rights yesterday to her children ages 9, 8, and 5. The ruling came after days of testimony.
DHS moved to terminate Redman’s rights after she was arrested for the death of her 27-day old daughter, Amelia. Police say Redman smothered the baby while they slept together on a couch on April second. She has been charged with manslaughter in the child’s death.
The judge said Redman regularly uses poor judgment, and that puts her children in harm's way. The children will now stay with their fathers.
