Our young people need our support and prayer we need to set the example, plenty of "wiser" people are texting or talking now on their phones behind the wheel. Best thoughts and wishes for Ashley to heal promptly and regard this a horrible yet survivable lesson. I a mother of a 21 year old that nearly lost her when she was 15 in a car accident. God's Speed

Curt: get the facts before you assume anything! I know the young lady and she is in a terrible mess right now. The police believe it was deer related.

According to the police Ashley was not at Fault. This was a terrible accident. She did not have her phone even in the car so texting was not the issue. She has improved a bit from yesterday but prayers would be very much appreciated. We thank the quick response by the police and EMS and the wonderful people who came so quickly to her rescue.

This was a horrible accident for such a young lady. Please keep her in your prayers. Please don't judge the person driving unless you have the facts.

Wow, when did Lansing annex Mason? This is clearly in the middle of Mason city limits.

That is because people can't drive and the Police won't enforce ignorance, just speeding and texting...because those are hot topics right now. Maybe if drivers got back to basics and actually learned how to properly drive a car or truck.. but, that won't happen
