An accident backed up traffic on U.S. 127 and I-496 in East Lansing Thursday evening. At least two cars were involved in the accident just south of the Trowbridge Road ramp and 496 interchange. There's no word on what caused it or if anyone was seriously hurt. Police closed one lane of U.S. 127 south until the wreckage was cleared.
