EAST LANSING - The northbound lanes of US-127 between Jolly Rd. and Trowbridge Rd. were closed for three hours Tuesday following a serious accident. A 20-year old Lansing man was thrown from his car in the rollover accident. East Lansing Police Lt. Larry Sparks says they are investigating why the young man lost control of his 2001 Chevy S-10 SUV. The driver was taken to Sparrow Hospital, and Sparks says the injuries are serious, but not life-threatening. Northbound lanes were closed from around 10:30a.m. until 1:30p.m., while accident reconstructionists investigated and debris was cleared. The southbound lanes of US-127 had to be closed for a short period of time as well at around 1:30pm, while the investigation wrapped up.
