Lansing Police slap the hand-cuffs on three people Monday night after chasing two of them down on foot, near the Lansing Community College campus. The chase started after a routine traffic stop, shortly after 9 PM Monday night.
Police stopped a vehicle, and two people took off running.
Police believed both were armed, and several officers and a K-9 unit were brought in to secure the scene. The vehicle was pulled over near the intersection of West Shiawassee and North Washington Square.
Police quickly caught one of them. A witness tells us LCC was locked down for a short time, as they searched for another suspect.
He was caught soon after. A total of three people are in custody right now.
Police say the chase lasted for about 15 minutes.
Police say that their investigation is ongoing, and they did not comment on why the suspects were arrested.
